**NEWS:  Friday February 17th **

Knowing how much everyone has been looking forward to the Stars Winter Adventure Race, and we don't want to disappoint, we've decided to go where the Winter is :-) !

Stars Winter AR is taking our event north to the snowy trails of Wasaga Nordic at Wasaga Beach Provincial Park!  This is a place we know and love, and they have 30KM of trails open! 

It's still on Sunday February 26th, and with all this snowy possibility you are realizing you haven't registered yet, or have more friends you want to bring along - we've extended regular registration fees until Monday night! (Mon Feb 20th midnight)

Please make sure to check the Course Setter's Notes regularly, and especially before leaving home on raceday. Any changes or last minute announcements will be made here.

Race Types

Three races are being offered:

  • The main Adventure Race, combining an O-Snowshoe event with a Ski-O event, with winning times of 2 to 2.5 hours. Courses will close after approximately 4 hours.
  • A Ski-O event, which will have an advanced and a beginners option, with the beginners receiving more detailed instructions on how to finish the course.
  • An O-Snowshoe Score event (beginner and advanced).

  • ENTRY FEE covers the event fee, trail fee, and registration costs.
  • Equipment will be available for rental. Please e-mail the contact (above) if you would like to rent anything, so we can attempt to reserve some equipment.
  • Rental SI cards will be available for an additional $2 / person.

Directions

Registration is in the Wax Hut at the Nordic Centre (Wasaga Provincial Park).  If you turn south off of River Road West onto Blueberry trail, it's on your left after about 350 meters. 

Google tells me it's the intersection of Blueberry Trail and Royal Beech Dr., but here's a link to google maps and the location of the event.  The was hut is the first building on the left at the back of the parking lot as your are heading to the lodge.
Accomodation

We are happy to announce that we have received an offer to host participants and organizers at Donato House Hotel in Wasaga for 100$/room (sleeps 4), which includes breakfast, swimming pool and a wax room. Contact the hotel directly for more information.
